Not sure if credits are right for you? We’ll tell you honestly.
Skills Shop Credits work well if you:
Train staff regularly through the year
Have refresher training to manage
Want to fix training costs to your budget
Lock after more than one team or site
Prefer fewer suppliers and less admin
They’re designed for organisations that want a simpler, more joined-up way of managing training.
Credits may not be the right fit if you:
• Only need one course this year
• Have no ongoing training plan
• Prefer to price each course separately
If that’s the case, we’re still happy to help with a one-off booking.
We’ll never push credits if they don’t make sense for you.
If a standard course booking is the better option, we’ll say so.
That way you get the right solution, not just a different pricing model.
Training cost locked in
Flexible training allowance
Schedule delivery when required
A credit is a simple unit of training time.
It allows you to plan and book training without needing a separate price for every course.
Most of the time:
• 1 credit = 1 full day of training
• 0.5 credit = half day
• 0.25 credit = short sessions such as toolbox talks
Credits are based on session length and type, not per delegate.
How credits work in practice
Here are a few common examples:
Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)
• 1 credit
• Up to 12 delegates
First Aid for Mental Health (1 day)
• 1 1/2 credits
• Up to 16 delegates
This makes it easier to mix and match training across the year without re-quoting.
Credits give you flexibility. You can use them:
Across different courses
For different teams or sites
At different points in the year
All while keeping costs predictable.
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
This aligns with most organisations’ financial years and training plans.

Credits are not about discounting.
They are about fixing costs, reducing admin and giving you flexibility.
In many cases, organisations find they get better value simply because training is planned and used more effectively.
We’ll tell you.
If a one-off course booking makes more sense, we’ll recommend that instead.
